Art is everywhere. We read about it in the news being sold for millions of dollars, it’s in museum galleries, in sketchbooks, billboards, and in thousands of blogs and portfolio websites. Sites like FFFFOUND have made it easy to find a limitless number eye dazzling images while The New Museum continues to build on a long tradition of museum collections but with new twists. James Jean, Noah Kalina, Jillian Tamaki and other artists have taken to the online world and shown the world that that they can build a following online and even build businesses around that following. Unfortunately, with a few great exceptions it’s not that easy to find great art you can buy, especially affordable art. That’s why we created Print Society, the first open, free, fun marketplace for printed artwork.
Print Society is the best place to find art you can buy. Artists and galleries from around the world are posting their artwork to Print Society so that it’s easier for you to find. Stumble upon an artist or gallery on Print Society that you like? Subscribe to their prints and be the first to see their latest work. See one of your friends on Print Society? You can subscribe to their favorite prints, too (we built Print Society around Facebook Connect so it’s easy to find your friends and share your favorites with them).
If you’re an artist Print Society may be the best things to happen to you in a long while. All you have to do to get your prints in front of thousands of art lovers is to post them to Print Society. For free. The same is true for galleries: You can now expand your audience to thousands of creative, smart, new art buyers every day by posting your inventory to Print Society.
We’re just getting started with Print Society and we hope you love it so far. Let us know what you think in the comments, then head over to Print Society and browse some amazing prints!
Thanks,
Saha & Gil.
